Use the https://gala.cgql.com/index1.php only once as it also clears out and restores any social members.
(This is for purposes of the draw so these should be from latest handicap listing on Thursday before the week)
(to make the draw work you must enter 'AN Others' so that entries can exactly be divided by numbers in each tee time)
(All entries must be paired with someone - correct obvious mistakes and then do a blind draw for the remainder. If there is a male and female AN Other pair them together)
(Calculate how many tee times you need for each competition and then allocate them to the correct course.)
At this stage you can make the event situation 'Draw Started'. That will ensure that no member can use event.cgql.com to alter their Gala Week entry.
From this moment onwards you must not change the people who are in the draw. Even if someone wants to cancel from the whole event it is easier to maintain their provisional entry and only withdraw them before making the 'Final Draw' (which is done 24 hours before the competition starts.)
5a. Do the team of 4 draws first. Click on [draw] button to start the draw. Print out draft draw and check that there is at least one lady and not more than 2 ladies in every team.
5b. Do the pairs competitions next . Click on [draw] button to start the draw. Print out draft draw and check that, so far as possible, mixed pairs play with mixed pairs.
5c. Finally do the singles competition. Click on [draw] button to start the draw. Print out draft draw and check that, so far as possible, mixed pairs play with mixed pairs.
5d. Once draws are finally formulated you can start to look at special requests. Be aware that by exceeding to one request you may well cause problems with another request!!
